It’s time for ECOMONDO and IPPR just can’t miss it this year

Once again this year IPPR – Institute for the Promotion of Recycling Plastics – will not miss the traditional appointment at Ecomondo ‘The Green Technology Expo’. From 5 to 8 November, at stand 509 Hall B1. Not least because, at this edition, IPPR is celebrating its 20 years of activity and the many milestones it has achieved with a round table to be held on Thursday 7 November and which will host a panel of important speakers representing the supply chain, the academic world, Confindustria and politics. In the last 20 years, the perception of recycled plastic has been completely transformed, from a marginal product of little interest to a valuable element synonymous with sustainability, increasingly present in our daily lives. With satisfaction we read the recycled polymer content in the plastic objects we use, aware that this content is a gift to the environment. Every day, millions of Italians and companies are engaged in separating plastics, municipalities in collecting them, plants in sorting them, sorting them and finally recycling them.

Plastics Second Life: the industry’s first recycled content certification

Since its creation in 2004, IPPR has been committed to giving value to recycled plastics with its Plastica Seconda Vita certification, a certification that to date has been awarded to more than 10,000 products. From collection to new life for plastics, IPPR closes the circle by placing a guarantee certificate on products and, at the same time, on a sector that is to all intents and purposes a national pride: in Italy in 2023, 1.3 million tonnes of recycled plastics were used to produce new objects, confirming absolute leadership in Europe. Recycling, prejudices about plastics, prospects and the use of recycled plastics will be discussed at Ecomondo at the round table organised by IPPR and COREPLA.

“II Valore delle Plastiche da Riciclo certificate nell’Economia Circolare”,
